Easter Egg Hunt 2011

Another year and again the Hammonds and Pearsons tackle the Great bug Easter egg hunt at Abbotsbury gardens. The weather was great and the gardens have never been busier. The aim is to collect a golf tea which guarantees you a cream egg, but the ultimate is to find one of the collectables which is either a gold piggy, gold horseshoe which wins you a giant egg. Over the years we have never found one, but we have seen one.
Hammonds & Pearsons ready to go! Adult to child ration 1:2

War paint on!

Easter egg hunting is a nasty business ( fake wound provided by St Johns Ambulance )

Ken keeping a close eye on the children.

Still no piggy! but I can see four
Looks like we will have to try again next year.

First Hammonds at Oxford

Who would have thought it a Hammond at Oxford University! well hopefully this taster is enough to encourage the children to become the best they can be. We managed to arrive at Oxford without any hiccups, well almost! Rachel received big hugs and kisses and then showed us her quarters and the campus grounds, apparently according to the children there are 50 steps to Rachel's room. After the lovely picnic lunch we took a stroll through the Oxford University Park to feed some ducks then on to the Pitt Rivers Museum.
