Play time with Louie

Hive Beach

Sunday morning I took the children to Hive Beach at Burton Bradstock, where we tried some kite flying, some hill running (dodging the cowpats), stone drawing with left over BBQ charcoal, which Oliver pointed out that his smelt of bacon.

Stone artwork, our ancestors would be proud!

I thought we went to the beach, not the coal mines!

Suspicion at the Park

Today was another gorgeous day in Weymouth and to add to this, Katharine had to work Saturday night which meant she had the chance to see Oliver play tennis. Tennis turned out to be very eventful.

  1. We were asked to baby sit Becky Henman for an hour, of course we obliged and so did Bethany
  2. Leanne & Jasmine came to watch Oliver.
  3. Oliver played very well despite initially joining the older group and tripping up grazing his back, knee and arm

Afterwards we handed out the Saturday sweeties and went to the Park, where strange things happened!

Jacob trying to figure out how this new nappy system works!

I tried to tell Oliver you have to push while off the roundabout!

Jacob did not understand this new playground equipment

Abbotsbury Barn - Back Again !!!

Because the weather today was so nice we decided to take another trip to Abbotsbury barn with our friends Ken, Elaine and there three children. The barn was very quiet so we managed to feed and walk the goats and have a lengthy play in the ball pit (including the adults).

Stubborn old goat!

One boy and his goat.

A future gladiator!

Its all about balls!

Trip to the Park

Daredevils on the zip wire!

Jacob is considerably more daredevil than Rebecca.

Whizzing round on the mushrooms.

Just hanging around.

Chill Out Time

Oliver having some 'big brother' time on the playstation in his favourite new pyjamas.

They say if children are good at puzzles then it helps them to read ( something to do with shape recognition) so we thought an intensive puzzle session might give them a head start. Then Bethany came home from school and gave them some extra strict instruction!

Jacob on the homeward straight with his Noddy puzzle.

Out on the balcony making a bed. It started as a book reading time and ended up in a hide from Mummy time.

Sea Glass Hunting

Castle cove was the destination and sea glass hunting was the aim of the day

Sending Oliver & Bethany off in to the waves, but Bethany chose otherwise as the water was like Ice.
