Oliver and I went out for a walk after dinner while Daddy was reading books to the three youngest. Oliver chose our route which took us down a couple of very dark lanes. So I introduced him to torch art.
Fireworks
Not sure, but good fun.
First official info on the school Christmas Productions!
Bethany will be an Angel in the Key Stage 1 play. She said it was the only girl job and she didn't want to do a boy job, and angels are "all shiny and sparkly", so angel it is!
Oliver was all set with a speaking part as Jeremy (we daren't ask how Jeremy fits into the Nativity). However Oliver said he didn't want to have a speaking part, he wanted to be a sheep. "I was a sheep in the pre-school play and a sheep last year and I like being a sheep."
"Maybe (we said), you should speak to your teacher about it and tell her you don't want a speaking part." So on Friday he came home from school having told Mrs. Wyslocky that he didn't want a speaking part and wanted to be a sheep. Her reply was that they are not doing the actual journey to Bethlehem this year so there are no sheep, but he could be a Shepherds Assistant or a WiseMens Assistant. He plumped for the job of Wise Mens assistant because he thought the costume might be better, but is still a little upset that he cannot dress up as a sheep. Anyone out there have a redundant sheep costume to make a little boys dream come true?
