What to do when?

What do you when do not book a holiday for the year ! well first thing is to rip up your old carpet and put down some nice bamboo flooring and re plaster and paint your walls.!
nice Bamboo flooring, superbly laid by yours truly, 98% happy with the result.

Second thing to do is buy a family pet beagle dog, called Buckley! He is 7 months old and cute what more can you want in an animal! one that does not wee on the new floor would have been better, never mind the bamboo smelt nice for a day!

Buckley smelling his way round the neighbour hood.

First lesson is how to sit! well done Bethany.

After a hard weekend, a quick doze is required.

Game of tag

Another day at Abbotsbury gardens, but this time there was a change to the standard walking route due to the huge wing nut tree having to be taken down for health and safety reasons. To start the walk a game of tag was required!
Still not sure who is it in this game of tag.

Last one to the top of magnolia walk is a ...... banana head.

View to St Catharine's chapel

Finally managed to make Oliver stay still for a photo.

Rebecca trying to stay still.

Just take one step back so I can fit you all in!!!

Gold Cap Hike

On a nice weekend what else do you expect to do, but venture on a nice hike. We dusted off our Dorset walk travel guides and attempted to try a more challenging walk now we have no more buggies to push, so we opted for a four mile walk around the Gold Cap. I had my stop watch ready to time how long it would take before their was an objection.... but none came!.
Beginning of the walk and Rebecca storms ahead.... but will it last!

View from the top of the Cap looking back to Seatown.

Half way point little piggy sweets for those hungry little piggies

At the bottom of the cap.

Oliver found a sheep fossil.

At the end of the walk and thought of the hill climb, dampens the spirits.

Another weary traveller struggling to find his way.

Back to car!..... Almost

Hammonds Christmas Eve Dinner

In previous years we have cooked the traditional Christmas dinner on Christmas day but with all that effort that goes with the meal it always seems that the day ends too quickly, so this year we decided to have dinner on Christmas eve which worked well and we are all looking forward to a more relaxing day tomorrow.
Eager eaters! the fondant potatoes and red cabbage did eventually make it to the table.

Christmas Race

No your not seeing pictures from Australia, these are from SUNNY Weymouth, and today was the yearly Santa race. The idea is simple, dress up as Santa and catch the person dressed as a Christmas pudding!

The Santa warm up to Christmas Pop songs.
