Hammonds Christmas Eve Dinner

In previous years we have cooked the traditional Christmas dinner on Christmas day but with all that effort that goes with the meal it always seems that the day ends too quickly, so this year we decided to have dinner on Christmas eve which worked well and we are all looking forward to a more relaxing day tomorrow.
Eager eaters! the fondant potatoes and red cabbage did eventually make it to the table.

Christmas Race

No your not seeing pictures from Australia, these are from SUNNY Weymouth, and today was the yearly Santa race. The idea is simple, dress up as Santa and catch the person dressed as a Christmas pudding!

Christmas Donkey Ride

Today was such good weather we went down the beach and had a morning enjoying the calm sea, sky and the local attractions, while me and Katharine enjoyed a coffee the children found dogs to play with and donkey rides, who needs Santa Claus.
Jacob was very impressed with his donkey because it can poo and walk at the same time.

Donkey race is on.

Trio of Christmas Plays

Its Christmas time there is no need to be afraid..... oh yes there is when you have three school Christmas plays to attend. First up was Oliver's year whose performance was of the little match girl, which I had never seen before and had a lump in the throat in the end! the next day was Bethany's year whose show was called "Creepy crawly Christmas" Who knew insects saved the star from falling at the birth of Christ, well you do learn something every day. The final performance was Jacob & Rebecca's whose play was called "Prickly hay" and they were dressed as cowboys for the "Stable Ho down". All I can say was that the plays were very performed and the costumes were amazing as well as the singing so overall it was a success.
Oliver as the Town Crier. Oh Yey!

Bethany as the Virgin Mary!

Rebecca the fastest girl in reception.

Jacob so hungry he could eat a horse.
