Hammonds visiting the Hammonds

Due to Car problems our trip to Hayling to see family was ruined! but thankfully Mum, Dad, Sean, Jack and Phoebe found time to visit us at Weymouth. After the quick exchange of gifts and children overcoming their shyness, playtime was required.

Church Nativity Play 2010

This morning at Church involved the final Christmas play of the year, Oliver was a king and Bethany was an Angel, Rebecca and Jacob were almost Sheppard's but decided to opt out at the last minute. The play seem to go according to the plan except that we were a king short and some people ending up playing two parts. Afterwards coffee, sweets and mince pies helped to forget the coldness of the Church and snow outside.

Oliver performing his lines or is he wondering about opening the present.

Bethany spreading her wings.

Oliver wondering what to do with Gold.

Christmas Party 2010

Work Christmas parties are always a highlight of the festive season. Due to the freak snow storm baby sitting became an issue but thankfully Vanessa kindly took over the baby sitting role which allowed Katharine and I to spend the night away. The evening was a success and was very enjoyable, until the morning when the pain of the night before beverages kicked in, and we forced to walk / slide in to town to catch a taxi home.

Katharine still looks amazing

Girl in the Paper Mask

Since she was a little girl she was kept prisoner in her home (because she never wanted to leave) and was made to wear a mask made of.......paper. Her only hope is that one day someone will come to rescue her and take her away. ..... Over my dead body!!!!

Girl in the mask!

Also there was some Christmas plays to see this year which was amazing due to all the illnesses that were about.

Smarties Christmas Play

Jacob & Rebecca participated in their first Christmas play today courtesy of Smarties nursery. We did wonder if and how the Smarties ladies were going to handle Rebecca and her costume, but she must of had a change of mind once there as she decided she was going to join in after all. Jacob has been a very excitable boy from start to finish.

Yes Rebecca you are an angel!

If you sheep do not stop messing around I am going to eat you!

A Happy Actor.

Winter is HERE!!!

Wow what a site to wake up to! This is probably the only snow Weymouth will get this year, and I can honestly say it looks beautiful but enough is enough now its too cold !

Managed to discover the snow even before the children.

SHOPPING TRIP.
Oliver and Rebecca had opted to come with me to buy a few bits from Lidl, but with the golden sun going down on a freezing cold Sunday afternoon the lure of the sea was too much. Where every good shopping trip should end up!

A cold winters sunset.

Just because you have been to diggerland does not mean you have the licence to drive any JCB.

Mummy's Birthday

Mummy's birthday is always full of spookiness. The children woke on Saturday morning to find Uncle John & Auntie Laura sleeping in the lounge!! We managed a short trip to the secondary school on Saturday to see a model railway exhibition which the children thoroughly enjoyed, the Adult opinions are a little different. Sunday Katharine woke to birthday cards, presents and a treasure hunt to find the remaining of her gifts. Over lunchtime we went for a wet windy walk around Nothe Fort, we met the usual Nothe Fort residents, plus managed to stop for a hot brew, with the usual spillages!

Top of the windy turret At the end of the pier.

That old game of who can get soaked the most! of course Oliver won as usual.

Break Time! cup of tea always makes the rain go away!! ... apparently!

1....2....3.......GO!!

Nope I am not playing that game!

Feeding the residents.

I don think they are aware of personal space!

Im sure I could make money from a squirrel circus!

Sorry Bethany we cannot take him home!

more strange residents.

DiggerLand

As all the children's birthdays seem to come close together we decided to treat them to a special day out to 'Diggerland' courtesy of Tesco's clubcard vouchers. Thankfully the weather held out, so even though we dressed for mud & mess we managed to stay fairy clean. The children loved the whole day, mainly because they could drive and destroy most things.

Oliver took charge of the first ride

Daddy and Jacob hot on Oliver's tale.

Bethany taking her first driving lesson, Jacob wants out its safer!

Oliver & mummy operating a real digger!!!

Bethany destroying the ground. Its amazing what you can achieve in a couple of minutes, she is a born natural!

Rebecca learning the controls.

Bethany digging for treasure! While this was going on I took Oliver, Jacob & Rebecca to have a go on the mini land rovers race track. Oliver went round no problem, Jacob went round really well with only one crash, Rebecca managed to crash 4 times, cut off sections of the course and make her own track ! It was hilarious, I explained to the women next to me that she wants to drive like her mummy!...... she succeeded.

All aboard the digger carousel

In the army diggers quick we are being attacked!!
